Joost Minnaar co-founded the Corporate Rebels in 2015. Their mission is to make work more fun. Today, the Thinkers 50 rate them among the “Top 30 Emergent Management Thinkers”. He travels to all corners of the world researching progressive organizations, and blogging and speaking about the discoveries they have made. He is co-authoring a book about all their adventures, expected early in 2019. Joost’s formal training is in Chemistry (BSc, Fontys University) and Nanoscience & Nanotechnology (MSc, University of Barcelona). He is now a Doctoral Candidate at the Amsterdam Business Research Institute (VU University, Amsterdam). He is researching the dynamics of self-managing, boss-less, multinational organizations. Corporate Rebel Freek Ronner is also co-founder of ‘Revolt by Corporate Rebels’. The Revolt consultancy expands Rebel activities to hands-on transformations. This gives a very practical focus to their work. Their approach is to be a partner to clients in their transformations. They begin by building a clear vision of the ‘organization of the future’. Then help introduce practical improvements to the way teams, and organizations, work. The Revolt work benefits from Freek’s academic studies and prior work-place experience. After graduating in Industrial Engineering, he completed a Masters in Innovation Management (at Eindhoven University of Technology). He then gained practical experience in organization design at several hospitals in the Netherlands. After which he extended his experience in high-tech with ASML, the world’s largest supplier of photolithography systems to the semiconductor industry. This included responsibility for deploying Agile-Scrum methodology. Away from work, you can find Freek with a book (philosophy, management, Dan Brown), visiting an art film, or with with friends and family.
